The village of Kyulevcha is an ancient, medieval proto-Bulgarian settlement founded at the time of
Khan Asparuh and Khan Tervel. It is located on a slope at the foot of rocks that are part of the
Provadia Plateau. On the same rock massif is one of the biggest sights of Bulgaria - the Madar
Horseman. It is located about 4 km southeast of the village of Madara, 10 km from the city of
Kaspichan and 20 km from the city of Shumen and 70 km from the city of Varna. Here, the modern
and dynamic city life meets the tranquility and proximity to nature.

The Madar horseman is a medieval bas-relief carved on a sheer rock. It is the only rock relief in
Europe from the Early Middle Ages and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The
relief represents a triumphant ruler and is today most widely perceived as a symbol of the power of
the First Bulgarian State.

Pliska was the capital of Bulgaria from 681 to 893. After the excavations, an `outer` and `inner` city,
a Throne Palace, a Small Palace, a pagan temple, a palace church, a reservoir, baths, farm and
residential buildings were discovered, and 1.5 km from the Eastern Gate - the foundations of an
impressive cathedral - The Great Basilica. In the past, Pliska was not only the most developed
settlement in Bulgaria, but also one of the richest cities in Europe.

The Biserna cave is not one of the most famous in Bulgaria, but it is one of the most beautiful. It is
about 3,000 meters long, and approximately 1,800 of them are accessible to tourists. The main
gallery, the Dry, is notable for its flat ceiling and uneven floor, paved in many places with large and
small rock blocks that have collapsed from the ceiling, between which a solid concrete path and
stairs penetrate. Below the dry gallery is the Water Gallery. The crossing of the Main Gallery with
the Water Gallery takes place via a bridge. The vault of the largest cave cavity abounds with
multicolored stalactites, no longer than 50 cm. Hundreds of drops of karst water glisten like
diamonds on the tops of many of the stalactites.

Broken stone - The landmark is located on the ancient land, locked between the villages of Nevsha,
Ravna and Venchan, on the territory of today`s Varna region. It is a rock formation located on a high
and steep scree hill, oriented in the north-south direction. A broken stone is considered to be one
of the definitive proofs of the march of the Asparagus Bulgarians in this region of our country.
Contemplation of the natural creation brings great pleasure to tourists. But it is also possible to
climb this rocky object under suitable conditions. In this way, the empathy with the past and the
feeling of the Bulgarian spirit will increase.

Immerse yourself in a medieval culture with history gathered over the centuries.
